Camo Skulls

Scientific name: Leafy sea dragon

Origin: Australia

Max Size: Up to a foot

Diet: Carnivore

With a real mouthful of a scientific name, The Sea Dragon Leaf is one of the most notable of the family Syngnathidae. This family includes seahorses, pipefish and other rare species, the dragon of algae.

They are only in Australia, where they live among the areas with high coverage of marine and rock. Like all members of the Family Syngnathidae creatures, which are slow they are very sensitive to large predators.

That's why one of the most distinguishing this fish is its incredible natural camouflage. This fish has several bumps lobe through your body that essentially looks like a bad piece of grass drifting in the ocean.

They are carnivores that feed on small fish and crustaceans. The dam is normally composed of the species living in its territory, allowing you to jump on suspicion of fish and shrimp. They can grow to a foot long.

Sea Dragon is a small deciduous species are collected with the consent of the Government of Australia. All fish caught are almost always in the direction of the University, room or a zoo of some sort. However, since then I learned some very rich people who managed to pick up a copy or two. Something I am sure some cons.

Attempts at captive breeding of these fish have been unsuccessful so far, unlike his brothers, pipefish and seahorses. Details of the fault does not know and, frankly, little is known about the reproductive process beyond men Hatching eggs until they hatch. Like the hippocampus.

Because so little is known about their needs in captivity than there really is not much the State for rearing these fish in an aquarium beautiful home. Fortunately, there may be some cases we can do. All members of the family Syngnathidae share some traits. They are slow, highly vulnerable and are reproduced in the same way. Not too crazy suggest that the attention of the leafy sea dragons were similar to the needs of pipefish or hippocampus.
