CHARITY FRAUD

Charity fraud can and a lot of damage. Lately, it seems to be common across the Web. The scammer takes advantage of the goodwill of people and making your money – money that was made for people in need. You can be sure that you get the money goes to the right hands. Just remember these tips when somebody asks you a gift.

• Request identification – the organization and the lawyer. Find out what the object of charity is and how to use the funds.

• Ask if contributions are tax deductible.

• If you are not satisfied with the answer – do not give up.

• Give institutions charity you know.

• Make sure that you've never heard of before, or others whose names are similar to a charitable organization, well known.

• Do not be fooled by high-pressure tactics. If lawyers do not take no for an answer, I say no way – but NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY.

• Be wary of charities that accept cash only.

• Always send a check to the charity about and not the person requesting the donation.

It is also likely to come to different regimes of the charity's website. They are the most visible line, after a large man made or natural disaster has occurred and there is a swelling public's desire to help all ways. There have been cases where the fraudster has developed an email or a site that mimics a charity known, but eventually their contributions go to cheat rather than the charity claiming to represent. More details about the scam known as "phishing" for only a little.

Below are two [2 more] scenarios that have been commonly used by fraudsters in the past, [1], which was rampant on the Internet.

THE PIGEON DROP

A person approaches you and tells that has found a large amount of money. What should you do? Maybe his "boss" can suggest something. He then went to consult with his boss "and again a few minutes later. His boss said he shared the money, but above all we must establish some "earnest money." Once you put your hand you will never see or the bad again.

BANK EXAMINER

A fraudster will contact you and tell you it's a bank employee or police officer and he needs your help to catch a dishonest bank teller. All you have to do is withdraw their savings and give the money to him so he can check the serial numbers. If you do, you have been "chopped". An official Royal Bank NEVR ask you to withdraw your money.

Is it hard to believe that people fall into these traps? Fraudsters may be most major players will ever encounter. The fall of the regimes of dove and the inspector of the Bank are two of the most successful games in all. No fooled. Call your BLUFF BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

PHISHING

Fraudsters and scammers have been busy on the Internet too. In many if fraud is carried out by the scammer saying he is soliciting contributions on the behavior of certain charitable organizations, while in because he works for itself.

Phishing has become a major problem in the Internet in the last two years. You will receive an email from a source that created fraudulent e-mail with a Web page that looks like an e-mail, is a bank or other legitimate organization that is well known that you may have had relations sex. Often, counterfeit e-mail indicates that it is updating records or try to correct some mistakes made by the company. Fraudsters are trying to encourage to provide certain personal information such as Social Security numbers, account numbers and other. If you do not provide this information the attacker is able to use it to assume its identity and cleaning bills.

The fake websites and emails have been more credible and that you copied legitimate Web sites so close, it often takes a trained eye to detect. Recently against, was decent-phishing on the market that can be used to help discern good email and web sites that are fraudulent. I recommend using this software, especially if you have trouble discerning the good from the fraudsters.

Often, when a call to you for the money does not sound or feel good. When this happens, remove the call.

You should be able to recognize these scams at the higher so that you can protect your assets and identity.
